Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT or NIT Allahabad), formerly Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC), is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology, located in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh in India. The college has the distinction of being the first in the country to start an undergraduate programme in Computer Science & Engineering, in 1976–77.

Facilities & Hostel
NIT Allahabad offers various courses like B-Tech, M-Tech, MCA, Doctoral programmes etc. The institute aims to provide quality and excellent technical education. The institute was the first in India to start a UG programme in Computer Science and Engineering in 1976-77.
MNNIT hostel rooms are in good condition. Three students share a room. Each hostel room has a bedroom, a study room, and a balcony. Students are provided with beds, chairs, study tables, cupboards, and study lamps.
