The National Institute of Science Education and Research Bhubaneswar is a public research institute in Jatani, Odisha, India, under the umbrella of the Indian Department of Atomic Energy. The institute is affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute.

Niser  is an autonomous research institute established in the year 2006 at Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The institute is under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute Mumbai.  It offers an Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. program in six disciplines at the UG level, Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. at the Postgraduate level and PhD in six disciplines at the Doctorate level.

• B.Sc.-M.Sc. Admission

The students applying for this course must clear the entrance examination nest The selection is based on the evaluated marks obtained in the NEST test.

• M.Sc. – Ph.D. Admission

 Admission to phd is based on the JEST (Joint Entrance Screening Test) or jam (Joint Admission Test) entrance examination conducted by IIT.

• Ph.D. Admission

The selection is based on the overall performance and the marks obtained in any of the National Level Eligibility Test such as NET, ICMR, ICAR, DBT, and GATE. During the admission process, the aspirants need to go through the Group Discussion as well as Personal Interview conducted by the Institute.
