IIIT Kottayam is a public autonomous engineering institute established in 2015 by the Government of India under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The Ministry of Education has also designated the institute as an Institute of National Importance. Nowadays, IIIT Kottayam provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in the engineering field.

IIIT Kottayam offers a 4-year duration BTech CSE as its flagship program. Admission to this program is completely based on the JEE Mains score followed by the JoSAA and CSAB counselling.
