Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhagalpur (IIIT Bhagalpur) is acknowledged as one of the top new IIITs in India constituted in the year 2017. The institute was set up under the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. It offers B.Tech at the UG level across three valuable specializations. The institute is envisaged to provide high-quality education to its diverse group of students so as to transform them into valuable assets for the country. 

Course 

The institute specializes in B. Tech programs, mainly in three branches. The college will also begin with M. Tech and Ph.D. programs in no time to excel in the field of research and technology. 

Admissions 

Admissions to all the disciplines of B.Tech are done through Jee Mains scores. Candidates need to have passed 10+2 in Science stream with the required marks. Candidates qualifying in JEE mains need to appear in JOSAA Counselling.

Placement 

The Training and Placement Cell of the institution looks after the placement opportunities for the students. Since the institute started functioning in 2017, the first batch of the institute is to pass out in the year 2021. It is an institute of national importance and has become one of the promising leaders in the discipline of Information Technology and Automation. 

The placements are expected to be excellent in the upcoming days. However, for obtaining a B.Tech degree, one internship for every student is intended to be obligatory. There are a few recruiters for industry-based internships which include Livguard, R.K. Automation, SmartBridge Technology, Expertshub, and Tata Steel.

Other 

• Central Library: The institution owns a well-equipped modern library to cater to the information needs of the students as well as the faculty members. The library has acquired more than 3500 printed volumes of books from reputed publishers. It is also equipped with modern facilities and resources.
• Computer Centre: The Computer Centre is in charge of the maintenance of day to day computational requirements of the institute. It is also responsible for the management of the computer labs accessible to all the students and the PCs of the faculty and staff members. The facilities of the centre are also used by many departments to conduct their practical classes and examinations.
• Wi-Fi Campus: The Computer Centre maintains a huge campus network with more than 300+ nodes. IIITBH LAN is also managed by the centre for providing support to the users. The Campus LAN has been extended to all the hostels.
• Bank & ATM: The institute has a UCO Bank situated inside the campus area to facilitate the banking needs of the students, faculty, and staff members. There is even access to the ATM facility inside the Academic Building. In addition to this, a Post Office is also situated inside the campus for fulfilling the postal system needs.
• Virtual Classroom: The institute possesses a dedicated virtual classroom for 1:5 video conferencing and is well-resourced with a Projector, 43” LED TV, PTZ Camera, Wireless Mic, Amplifier, Presenter, and Sound system. It can accommodate up to 100 students.
• Conference Room: There is a well-furnished conference room with Wi-Fi connectivity and with a capacity of 15. The room is equipped with one PTZ Camera with 43” LED TV with video conferencing facility through Panasonic Codec. It also has a projector with a good sound system.
• Hostels: The institute provides separate hostels for both boys and girls, constructed near to the main study campus with all the basic facilities and modern amenities for the convenience of the students.
