Fakir Mohan University, VyasaVihar, was established on 3rd July 1999 under section 32 of the Odisha Universities Act, 1989. Fakir Mohan DDCE offers selected UG and PG courses including BA, BCA, MA,M.Com, and PGDCA in various disciplines.offers regular courses at the UG, PG, and PhD levels, and some integrated courses across various streams such as business, & management, social sciences, education, etc. The courses offered include BEd, MEd, BA LLB, and many PG courses like MSc, MBA, MCA, etc.

Fakir Mohan University was permitted by UGC-DEB to take admission in distance courses from the session 2019-20.
